Hombros 2013 is a red wine made with 100% Mencía grape and Bierzo designation of origin.

Maded by Casar de Burbia, a family tradition cellar located between the municipalities of Carracedelo and Posada del Bierzo (León).

 

 

 

 

Winemaking and aging


Hombros 2013 is a Mencía grape varietal . They come from vineyards between 50 and 100 years old. The harvest is done manually.

The alcoholic fermentation takes place at 25ºC in 10,000 liter tanks. Later the malolactic fermentation takes place in French and American oak barrels.

The aging lasts a minimum period of 12 months in French and American oak barrels.

  • Palate: Acid flavor with a long and deep finish.
