Winemaking and Ageing

Pétalos del Bierzo 2021 is made from grapes harvested manually and the first selection occurs in the same vineyard. At the cellar, the grapes are de-stemmed and passed to ferment for about 25 days in open wooden vats stainless steel.

After this, a malolactic fermentation is carried out for two months in closed tanks. Afterwards, Pétalos del Bierzo ages for 10 months in French oak barrels and, before being bottled, it is filtered and clarified.

  • View: Pétalos del Bierzo 2021 has a cherry colour with violet edges. Good intensity.
  • Nose: Powerful and aromatic. Floral notes of jasmine and violet notes of cinnamon and red fruit.
  • Palate: good acidity, it is intense and rather oily. Very soft and pleasant.
