​​Winemaking and aging

El Nido 2020 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (70%) and Monastrell (30%). The harvest is done manually, and the grapes are transported to the cellar in small boxes that prevent premature breakage of the grapes. Once in the cellar, the grapes undergo a selection process.

It has been aged in French and American oak barrels for 22 to 26 months.

Tasting Note of El Nido 2020

  • View: El Nido 2020 has a very, very dark cherry color. High layer. Clean and shiny. Dense, with slow tears.
  • Nose: Very aromatic wine. Powerful aromas of ripe black fruit accompanied by an intense and complex range of spicy, balsamic aromas, toasts, chocolate, a touch of leather and undergrowth accompanied by very creamy lactic notes.
  • Palate: Very tasty and powerful wine. Silky, sweet, intense palate. Lots of fruit load. Great volume. Ripe and polished tannins and very well integrated. Very long and pleasant, persistent finish.

Pairing

El Nido 2020 is ideal to accompany grilled red meats, meat rice, beef, roast turkey and stews. Serve at 18ºC.
It is recommended to decant before serving.
