Laya 2022

Laya 2022 is a young red wine that has achieved very good scores from international critics in previous vintages. It has an excellent quality-price ratio.

Bodegas Atalaya dates back to the 2007 vintage, since then it has been growing in the production of the Garnacha Tintorera and Monastrell varieties to reflect the character and personality of the land.

Preparation and aging

Laya 2022 is a blend of the Garnacha Tintorera and Monastrell varieties. The grapes come from our own vineyards planted at an altitude of between 700 and 1,000 meters above sea level, on limestone soils and with a continental climate with low rainfall. The production begins with a maceration of the grapes before fermentation, which is carried out separately for each variety in stainless steel tanks for 15 days at a temperature of 25ºC.

Once the fermentation is finished, Laya undergoes a short aging of 4 months in French oak barrels.

Tasting Note of Laya 2022

• View: Laya has a very intense cherry red color with some bright violet reflections. Dense tear.
• Nose: Elegant and very complex nose. Prominence for ripe fruit and certain floral notes. Toasted, chocolate, dairy memories and slight minerality.
• Palate: On the palate it is a pleasant wine, with a fresh, medium-bodied entry. Balanced, with sweet but somewhat vibrant tannins.

Pairing

Laya is ideal to accompany white meats, rice with meat, pasta with meat sauce, sausages, legumes, small game, mushrooms and grilled red meats.

It is advisable to consume this red wine at a temperature of 16ºC.
