Pago de los Capellanes Reserva 2020 is a red wine made with 100% Tempranilo. In its 2007 vintage, it was chosen as the best wine from Ribera del Duero by Decanter magazine.

Made by the Pago de los Capellanes winery, synonymous with quality, with wines with a modern profile, with an Atlantic air, elegant and tasty, and executed with enough mastery so that they do not forget the origin of their Castilian roots.

Winemaking and Aging

Pago de los Capellanes Reserva 2020 is a single-varietal Tempranillo. After a selected harvest, it is transported in boxes of 15 kilograms, later it is taken to 20,000 liters tanks to carry out the fermentation.

Cold pre-fermentation for 6 days, followed by 20 days of alcoholic fermentation by sowing selected autochthonous yeasts from the best vines. The malolactic fermentation develops very slowly, tempering the cellar at 20ºC for 28 days, without the addition of bacteria.

The wine remains for 14 months in new barrels of fine grain French oak.
