Winemaking and Ageing

Magnum Arzuaga Crianza 2017 is a monovarietal 100% Tinto Fino from the La Maquinilla vineyard, the oldest of the La Plana vineyard, with vines over 20 years old planted on aland about 911 meters above sea level. The vineyards are planted on clay-calcareous soils.

The harvest is done manually and the grapes go through a selection table in the cellar. Regarding the elaboration, after destemming, the must goes to stainless steel tanks to carry out a cold maceration. Subsequently, an alcoholic fermentation is carried out very slowly at a controlled temperature of 27ºC. Finally, Arzuaga Crianza 2015 undergoes aging for 16 months in French (60%) and American (40%) oak barrels.

• View: Magnum Arzuaga Crianza 2017 has a dark cherry color with purple reflections. Clean and bright.
• Nose: Clean, intense and broad. With a large aromatic range which includes mineral notes of terroir, balsamic aromas, honey-like.
• Palate: The mouth is concentrated, velvety, round and tasty. Notes of black fruit and fine wood tannins appear. Long, elegant finish.

Pairing

Magnum Arzuaga Crianza 2017 is ideal to accompany meats such as cheeks or oxtail, complex stews with garnish, grilled red meats, big game but above all with roasted lamb.
