Garmón 2017 is a full-bodied wine, but one that does not seek excessive maturity.
Bodegas Garmón Continental belongs to the García Family (Bodegas Mauro in Tudela de Duero, and San Román in Toro). The winery is in Olivares, on the banks of the Douro River.
Winemaking and Ageing
Garmón 2017 is the first harvest of a new red wine 100% Tempranillo, made under the Ribera del Duero Appellation, Bodegas Continental Garmón, a new project García (Bodegas Mauro) family. The grapes to produce Garmón come from vineyards that are between 30 and 100 years old, located in the towns of La Aguilera, Moradillo y Baños, with predominantly clayey-calcareous soils and silty clay.
The vineyards are at an average altitude of 900 meters. Makes the aging in French oak barrels for 16 months.
