The history of Marqués de Murrieta starts in the mid-nineteenth century, when Luciano Murrieta and Garcia-Lemoine, Marquis de Murrieta, decided to turn Rioja wine in a noble wine.

Winemaking and Ageing
Dalmau 2014 is made 70% with Tempranillo grapes, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Graciano. Manual harvest selected in small capacity boxes. Fermentation of each variety separately at controlled temperature for 11 days. The Tempranillo ferments in small stainless steel tanks and the Graciano and the Cabernet Sauvignon in a small oak barrel. Overpumping takes place with the aim of obtaining maximum extraction.
Aged for 19 months in new Allier French oak barrels.

- Nose: Its nose is complex, velvety, with an explosion of aromas of wild fruits, dark chocolate and mineral notes, elegantly combined with creamy toasted from its passage through the French oak.
