Bodegas Izadi was born in 1987 in Villanueva de Álava, whose driving force was Gonzalo Antón.
Bodegas Izadi is a cellar belonging to the Artevino group. In the year 200, Lalo Antón joined the company, promoting the commercialization of these wines internationally and the expansion of the Artevino company, which also includes the Finca Villacreces, Vetus and Orben wineries.
The towns of Villabuena de Álava, Samaniego and Ábalos make up the main triangle of Bodegas Izadi, where 178 hectares of vineyards are located, of which 70 are their own.
The cellar follows integrated viticulture criteria, respecting the vineyard and the grapes as much as possible. The vineyards have an average age of 45 years and are planted on poor, low-yielding soils.
As for the architecture, it is worth noting the 50-meter drop that they use to make their wines using gravity due to the cellar's 5 different heights.
