Cuatro Rayas was born in 1935 and is one of the most important wineries in the Rueda Designation of Origin.
Cuatro Rayas with more than 80 years of history, this cellar produces 20% of the D.O Rueda white wines. A production that reaches 15 million bottles each vintage.
The main variety in the area, the Verdejo grape is the one mostly used to make these wines. Some wines that are exported to the whole world, including countries like Japan, China. United States, Germany or Mexico.
A total of 2,150 hectares, all of them controlled by the cellar itself, are vineyards with a long vegetative cycle. In addition to the Verdejo variety, Sauvignon Blanc, Viura, Palomino Fino and Tempranillo are also cultivated. Vineyards most of them pre-phylloxera and a small part planted in a glass or low foot and of centennial age.
The Cuatro Rayas cellar is divided into two wineries located in modern facilities in the town of La Seca.
