The Enate winery was founded in 1991 and belongs to the Somontano Denomination of Origin
Enate's vineyards provide a sustenance similar to canvas. The vegetative cycle of the vine and the grapes, from birth to harvest, creates the landscapes and colors of Somontano.
The green, reddish, purple, ocher and yellowish reflections that the winery aims to transfer with dedication and affection to each of its wines.
Appellation of origin
All Enate plots are located in the municipalities belonging to the D.O. Somontano in the province of Huesca. The Somontano becomes the perfect place for the cultivation of the vine, due to different factors, such as the high temperature change between day and night that favors the ripening of the grapes, the sandy texture of the soil makes the grapes permeable to water, and the water that comes from the melting of the Pyrenees.
The Enate vineyards are grouped into four zones, Enate I, Enate II (Cregenzán and Alcanetos) and Salas. In its vineyards white grapes such as Gewürztraminer and Chardonnay are grown, and red grapes such as Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah.
