Bodegas Cepa 21 was born 20 years ago and was the new project of the third generation of the Moro family, owner of the Emilio Moro cellar.
Bodegas Cepa 21 was created by José Moro and his brothers, third generation of the Moro family, in the Ribera del Duero, in the town of Castrillo de Duero (Valladolid), with the aim of establishing the techniques of modern viticulture in Ribera del Duero. This project was based on the Tempranillo grape variety as the protagonist, the terroir of the area and the new trends.
This cellar was born with the mission of producing unique wines thanks to the experience acquired over three generations of the family dedicated to the world of wine. Taking advantage of the quality of the place and the land to position their wines as benchmarks around the world.
The building where it is located is a great bet for wine tourism in the area thanks to its innovative construction and use of advanced techniques.
The cellar has 50 hectares of vineyards, most of them around the winery, located between 750-900 meters above sea level.

Hito 2021
Hito 2021 is a wine made 100% from Tinto Fino grapes. It is the most modern wine from Cepa 21, the project of Emilio Moro. It is a friendly wine, with a sweet tooth, from a vintage considered extraordinary in the Ribera del Duero.
The Emilio Moro Cellar is already in its 3rd family generation, and as José Moro says, remembering his childhood, they have come here based on work, dedication and humility.
