Bodegas Emilio Moro has been a family cellar for 3 generations now, located in Pesquera de Duero, in the heart of Ribera del Duero. The history of this winery includes 3 different generations. The grandfather who was born in 1891, Emilio Moro father who was born in 1932. And the current generation that runs the cellar. They own more than 200 hectares.
Its oldest vineyard dates back to 1924, situated on a clay soil which gives the wines the power and aromatic intensity.
The climate of this area is characterized by having dry summers and long, cold winters, as well as great thermal changes between day and night, which favors a correct ripening of the fruit. Rains are scarce throughout the year around 400-600 mm per year.
The vineyards are located between 750-850 meters above sea level, on soils usually formed by sands and clays and in some cases calcareous soils.
The cellar combines traditional viticulture with new technologies, the harvest is carried out manually and its wines rest in oak barrels.
