Bodegas Pujanza is located in Laguardia in La Rioja Alavesa, at the foot of Sierra Cantabria, which provides the vineyard exceptional weather conditions.

Bodegas Pujanza was born in 1998 when they made the first vintage of the Pujanza wine. Located in La Rioja Alavesa in a unique spot at the foot of Sierra Cantabria.

It was in 2001 when the first harvest was made in the new cellar, a cellar crowned with a tasting room and from where you can enjoy the entire vineyard and the town of Laguardia. The philosophy of the cellar consists in the elaboration of the wine from the vineyard knowing each one of its farms and the characteristics of each one of them.

The cellar has 40 hectares of vineyard owned by the Tempranillo variety, with the exception of one vineyard where Viura is grown, and its most representative vineyards are: Finca Valdepoleo, located 630 meters above sea level on clay-calcareous soils of an extension 17.5 hectares. Finca Norte located at 720 meters altitude with clay-calcareous soil settled on limestones, has an area of ​​2.7 hectares. Finca La Valcabada with an extension of 0.8 hectares and 600 meters of altitude, with the peculiarity of being Pie Franco. San Juan Anteportalatina at 600 meters altitude and with an altitude of 600 meters.

The harvest is done by hand in boxes of 20 kilograms, where the first selection of bunches is made, and once in the cellar a second selection is made at the table. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and in tanks with walls covered with oak depending on the type of wine, with constant temperature control. The aging lasts a minimum period of 12 months in French oak barrels.
