Botani Moscatel 2021

Botani Moscatel 2021 represents a milestone in the history of Malaga wine, being the first time that a dry wine of these characteristics was made from the sweet Moscatel de Alejandría variety.

With the 2004 harvest, the first wines from this winery were born, located in the municipality of Almáchar, in the heart of Malaga's Axarquía, a mountainous region with steep slopes.

Preparation and aging

Botani Moscatel 2021 is a sweet wine made with 100% Muscat of Alexandria. It is made from very old vineyards in the town of Almárchar in the Axarquía mountains of Málaga. Very old vineyards planted in soil of volcanic origin of slate and quartz in the slopes of the Axarquía mountains in Málaga. The harvest usually takes place at the end of July or beginning of August. All grapes are harvested by hand, in small 10 kilogram boxes to prevent damage to the fruit. The boxes are carried by hand up the hill and loaded onto the mules.

The grapes pass through the selection table before pressing.
