Winemaking and Aging
Marqués de Riscal Verdejo 2023 is a monovarietal of the Verdejo grape. For the elaboration, a slow harvest was carried out, taking advantage of the dry weather and the total absence of rains to favor a slow ripening of the grapes. Once the grape is destemmed and cooled, it is cold-macerated in order to extract the maximum aromas from the skin.
Subsequently, a slow fermentation takes place, about 20 days, at a controlled temperature of between 13-15ºC. Finally Marqués de Riscal Verdejo spends a time of maturation and is bottled between the months of January and March.
Marqués de Riscal Verdejo 2023 Tasting Notes
- View: Marqués de Riscal Verdejo has a straw yellow colour.
- Nose: The nose presents a high aromatic intensity with aromas of tropical fruits as well as notes of fennel and fresh grass.
- Palate: In the mouth it is refreshing while unctuous with a slightly bitter end of the variety resulting in a long and pleasant drink. Overall it shows as a fresh and balanced wine.
