Ron Cacique Añejo
Ron Cacique Añejo is a rum from Venezuela born in 1959. It was decided to give it that name because in the tradition of the Venezuelan tribes, the Cacique was the one who had the privilege of distributing the rum.
Cacique de Venezuela rum was a leader in the market over the past decade but was outdone by its Dominican competitors because it tasted sweeter and easier.
Ron Cacique Añejo is a mixture of several types of rum, distilled three times and aged for two years in white oak barrels. It is the result of the mixture of the best selection of sugar cane and pure spring water, distilled by hand in the microclimate of the jungle. Its distillation process is carried out in copper stills and pots.
Cacique is obtained by mixing up to 47 different rums: some younger and others more aged. The result is a dark rum with an intense tone and a balanced flavor.
