Winemaking and Ageing
Enate Crianza 2018 is a blend of Tempranillo (70%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (30%) varieties. The grapes come from own vineyards located in Salas Altas, Salas Bajas Cregenzán and Barbastro. These are about 600 meters high and the soils, limestone, are not very fertile. After harvesting is done manually, a de-stemming process is carried out.
Each variety vinifies autonomously in stainless steel tanks. Enate Crianza grains carry out a malolactic fermentation. The two varieties of Enate Crianza, finally, age separately for nine months: Cabernet Sauvignon is made in French oak barrels and Tempranillo, in American oak barrels. After the coupage, it is refined in bottle for another 18 months.
