Elaboration

The Chita Single Grain is a grain whisky that was launched in 2015 and is the evolution of the Suntory Chita Grain that in 2009 that was awarded at the World Whiskies Awards.
The distillery producing The Chita Single Grain is owned by Suntory. They produce 3 different types of grain and belong to this new whiskey.
It is aged in three types of barrels, a combination of Sherry, bourbon and (interestingly) wine casks.  


The Chita Single Grain Japanese Whisky Tasting Note

  • View: A bright gold color.
  • Nose: Créme Brulé, touches of cardamom, acacia honey and blooming roses. Floral touches and fresh fruit. Soft and fresh. A touch of orchard blossom, notes of banana, mango, lemon, pear, vanilla and caramel.
  • Palate: Soft and smooth. Light and clear, spicy oak with subtle bittersweet notes.
