Bodega Marqués de Vargas. The history of the Marqués de Vargas cellar dates back to 1840 when Felipe de la Mata made the first vineyard plantations in the area.

The Marqués de Vargas cellar is located in Logroño, La Rioja, in the heart of the Ebro valley in an area known as "Los Tres Marqueses".

The Bodega Marqués de Vargas cellar is run for 4 generations, the current father of the Marqués de Vargas managed to place the cellar as one of the most emblematic of La Rioja.

The cellar has 70 hectares of vineyards of the Tempranillo, Mazuelo, Garnacha and Graciano varieties. All of them planted on a poor clay-calcareous soil, which are not watered throughout the year, which avoids the loss of tannins and neither herbicides nor pesticides are used. The average production of these vineyards is 4,000 - 5,000 kilograms per hectare.

For the wine aging they use French, American and Russian oak barrels, their wines are made from grapes from a single vineyard without treatment or clarification.
