Bodegas Frutos Villar belongs to the Frutos Villar family, linked to the world of wine since the 20th century when it began its journey in the Toro region. It is present in the Apellation of Origin Cigales, Toro, Ribera del Duero, Rueda and V.T of Castilla y León.

Bodegas Frutos Villar cellars are characterized by seeking progress and renewal in their vineyards, taking a very special care of the product that comes out of each one of them.

Bodegas Frutos Villar created his first cellar in Toro in 1920, later in 1960, he created one more cellar in Cigales. Then in 1988 they acquired the Santa Eulalia cellar located in Ribera del Duero. At the same time that they continued to produce wines from their own vineyards that were not covered by any Denomination of Origin in 1990, they began to market wines of the Rueda Denomination of Origin. Therefore, fruit warehouses are present in four of the nine areas with Designation of Origin of Castilla y León.

Toro
In this region, the Villar fruit family establishes the Toro-Muruve cellar where they own a total of 99 hectares of their own, which, accompanied by the winegrowers of the area who work hand in hand with this cellar, provide them with the raw material necessary to manufacture some of the best wines of this land.

This region is characterized by a gravelly terrain with a sunny vineyard, the wines of this cellar in Toro are of great tannin and color with a very tasty palate and a long finish.

Cigales
In this region, Bodegas Frutos Villar acquires a total of 100 hectares of vineyards, where also some of the winegrowers in the area contribute the remaining necessary grapes for the manufacture of their wines.

Bodegas Cigales - Calderona is located on a light terrain, so the maturations are very slow, this gives rise to rosé and aromatic wines made with the Verdejo, Tempranillo, Albillo and Garnacha grape varieties. They also make high quality red wines with the Tempranillo grape variety.

Ribera del Duero
La Horra is the Municipality that houses the Bodega Santa Eulalia, located in the province of Burgos at 802 meters of altitude.

In this area the cellar has 160 hectares of vineyard, which go through a careful selection to achieve the highest quality. The vineyards are oriented towards the riverbed of the Duero river and planted in floodplains, arranged in two formations: glass with thumb pruning and trellis with cord pruning.

The grape varieties that are grown in this area are: “Tempranillo” Country Ink, which is the main one, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot or Malbec, among others.

Wines of the Land of Castilla y León
The cellar is located in the municipality of Villalpando in Zamora, it has a total of 71 hectares of vineyards where high quality wines come from, although they are not assigned to any Denomination of Origin.
