Seagram's Distillery was founded in 1857 with the opening of its first distillery in Waterloo, Ontario, also known as the Calvert Distillery.  

Seagram's Distillery was founded by Joseph E. Seagram in Ontario. After several changes of ownership over the years, the distillery was owned by Edagar Bronfman but acquired by Joseph E. Seagram & Sons.

In 1928, after the death of Joseph E. Seagram, Distillers Corporation Limited acquired Joseph E. Seagram & Sons. Years later and after the end of the prohibition of consumption of alcoholic beverages in the US, the company prospered exponentially.

The Seagram's Distillery is a large manufacturer of distillates, among which are Seagram's gin, 100 Pipers whiskey and also a vodka. Its way of working is mainly characterized by the selection of the best ingredients and the way of making its distillates that has been passed down from generation to generation.

In 2000 the Vivendi Group and its beverage division Pernod Ricard acquired Seagram's. Currently the company exceeds 3 million euros.

After 150 years of history in 2002 Coca Cola acquired the line of mixers drinks and the rights to use the brand of soft drinks, Spain was the first country in Europe to market the brand of Seagram's mixer with the market launch in Premium tonic in March from 2012.
