The cellar Ossian Vides and Viñedos was founded in 2005 by Javier Zaccagnini and Ismael Gozalo, although it currently belongs to the Ruiz Aragoneses family. It is located in the province of Segovia.

Ossian Vides and Viñedos cellar belongs to the Ruiz Aragoneses family since 2013, also owners of Pago de Carroviejas cellar in Ribera del Duero, with the aim of showing the expressiveness of this land and the Verdejo grape.

The vineyards with which this cellar works are pre-phylloxera with an age of between 100 and 200 years located in the northwest of this province, and by indigenous yeasts respect the varietal character of it. The soils of the area are very varied, some of them are slate, others clay and others pebbles.

The climate of this territory is very peculiar and is characterized by large thermal oscillations between day and night which favors the production and maturation of very high quality grapes.

The cellar works through organic farming, and its wines are supervised and controlled by the Council of Organic Agriculture of Castilla y León, being the oldest ecological vineyard registered and certified in the Appellation O. Rueda. With the philosophy of respecting the maximum raw material in search of the highest quality.

The harvest is done manually and the grapes are cooled to achieve a slower fermentation. A second selection is made at the winery table, later the wine will have a fermentation and aging in stainless steel tanks and in French oak barrels with its own yeasts.
