Bodegas Teso La Monja is a cellar that produces Toro Appellation of Origin wines. Founded in 2007 by the Eguren Family, it is located in Valdefinjas (Zamora).
Teso La Monja is the second phase in the Toro Appellation of Origin of the Eguren family, after Numanthia-Termes, which represents a new approach in the elaboration of wines.
This cellar works with clay soils, limestones in the subsoil and more gravel on its surface. The vineyards have an average age of 50 years and a maximum of 130 years, they are oriented to the North so they experience longer training cycles.
They are characterized by having a production of between 1,000 and 2,000 kg / ha, in such a way that maximum identification with the territory that surrounds them is achieved.
They practice sustainable agriculture to conserve the environment, respecting the phases and natural cycles in the plant.
All these characteristics guarantee a production of powerful and elegant wines, with the strength of Vinos De Toro and with a more fruity and fine palate.
