Larios is a distillery that was born in Malaga in 1866, founded by the French Charles Lamothe and the Spanish Pedro Jiménez.
Larios was born in Malaga in 1866 from the hands of Charles Lamothe and Pedro Jiménez (Jiménez & Lamothe). In 1916 the third Marquis of Larios founded the Casa Larios after the acquisition of the Jiménez & Lamothe distillery and that is how the name of the current Larios y Cía distillery was born. Although in 1933 this name disappears and Larios S.A. is born.
In 1950 and thanks to the innovative designs of its bottles, Larios began to stand out in the sale of spirits with a more stylized, modern and authentic bottle. In 1960 the concept "long drink" emerged, of which Larios was the star product, which would not be very successful but would be very important in later times.
In 1980 Larios became the best-selling gin in Spain, with more than half the market. In 1990 the Larios Calendar project was launched, accompanied each year by a presentation party that also gave the brand more name.
In 2009 Larios 12 was born and in 2015 Larios Rosé. A brand that has been growing over the years and that in 2016 turned 150. The last product of the brand to go on the market was Larios Citrus in 2018.
