12 Lunas Tinto 2021 is a wine made with the Cabernet Sauvignon (52%), Tempranillo (32%), Garnacha (13%) and Syrah (3%) grape varieties.

El Grillo y la Luna is a family project that was born in Barbastro, in the heart of Somontano, at the foot of the Pyrenees. The winery was founded in 2007 with the purpose of creating unique wines.

Preparation and aging

12 Lunas Tinto 2021 is made with Tempranillo, Shyra, Garnacha and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties. Once the grapes are harvested, they ferment in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of between 25-29°C. Maceration is 2-4 weeks depending on the variety.

Once the maceration is finished, they are aged for 9 months in 225-liter French oak barrels.

  • View: 12 Lunas Tinto has a deep cherry red color and violet hues.
  • Nose: The nose is fresh and intense with notes of ripe red fruit.
  • Mouth: The palate is soft and voluminous thanks to round and velvety tannin. The palate is soft and fresh, giving way to a long finish, where the red fruit is mixed with the toasted notes typical of its aging for 9 months in French oak barrels.
