Clio 2023

Clio 2023 is a wine with DO Jumilla made with the Monastrell (70%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (30%) grape varieties.

The El Nido winery is located in the Aragona Valley, 10 kilometers north of the city of Jumilla, within the area above, so called because it is the highest altitude area within the municipal area of this city.

Preparation and aging

Clio 2023 is a blend of 70% Monastrell, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon varieties. The harvest is done manually and the grapes are transported to the winery in small boxes that prevent the grapes from breaking. Once in the winery, the grapes are classified on selection tables. Clio carries out the maceration and subsequent fermentation in small stainless steel tanks and barrels.

The malolactic fermentation and the subsequent aging, which will last for 24 months, are carried out in new French and American oak barrels.

• View: Clio has a cherry red color with a maroon edge.
• Nose: Intense, in which blackberries and blueberries stand out. Candied fruit, coffee, cocoa and licorice. Very fine and elegant.
• Mouth: Very tasty and powerful. Very concentrated, sweet tannins. Very long and elegant finish.

Clio is ideal to accompany rice, all types of meat, roasts, large and small game meats, poultry and stews.
