Jinzu Gin

Gin Jinzu is a British gin, made by Diageo based on an idea by British bartender Dee Davies, which is characterized by being made with sake and other Japanese or Japanese-inspired botanicals.

It is the winning distillate of the latest edition of the "Show Your Spirit Competition".

Preparation and aging

Gin Jinzu is a distillate that mixes gin and sake. Its production process is another example of this Anglo-Japanese fusion. The production begins in a copper still to which juniper berries, angelica and coriander are added. Until then everything is very traditional. The exotic comes when the citrus flavors of yuzu, cherry blossom and the blend of Premium Junmai sake are added (the rice grain is polished up to 70%).

Preparation suggestion

You can flavor your Jinzu Gin Tonic with the following botanicals and spices: lemon, coriander and lime. To prepare a Jinzu Gin Tonic you will need a balloon glass or, failing that, a wide-mouth glass or glass. Balloon glasses are ideal because they have a capacity of 60-70 cl. to be able to store the necessary ice, gin and tonic. The wide mouth of this glass allows us to perfectly capture the aromas and flavors of this drink.

In addition, a glass allows us to hold it by the stem, which prevents us from heating the Gin Tonic with our hands, for this reason, this drink should never be served in a tube glass. It is recommended to consume it with a slice of green apple.
