Bardinet was born in 1857, it is a distillery founded by Paul Bardinet, and from which the famous Bold drink was born.

Bardinet is a distillery born in 1857 by the hand of Paul Bardinet, a young liquor maker who became interested in rum from sugar cane from the Caribbean. This is how the Negrita rum brand was born.

In 1895 Paul Bardinet's son, Edouard, leaves the family business and moves to Bordeaux to open his cellar and create the spirited rum recipes that remain till today. In 1975 Bardinet moves to the outskirts of the city where it occupies more than 15 hectares. In 1983, whiskies were added to the product portfolio by the distributor Sir Edward’s Scotch Whisky.

In 1993 Bardinet joins La Martiniquaise and thus joins the production and distribution of wine and spirits. In 2001 they acquired the Ron Pujol brand, and in 2014 they acquired Giró Gin, an iconic gin in Barcelona since 1930, with the aim of consolidating a brand present in several generations of Catalan society. They have facilities of more than 24,000 square meters on the outskirts of Barcelona and more than 100 collaborators that place them as one of the leaders in the distribution of this type of beverage in Spain.

Negrita sales exceed 10 million bottles per year and are sold in more than 110 countries, positioning Bardinet as a benchmark in the world in the sale of this type of beverage.
