Frangelico Hazelnut Liqueur
Frangelico Hazelnut Liqueur is a liqueur made from wild roasted hazelnuts dipped in alcohol along with berries and spices.
This liqueur is named after the monk who lived in a hermitage in Piedmont and created it around the year 1600 along with many other drinks.
Frangelico is made from local Piedmont hazelnuts that are picked, peeled, roasted and crushed. Then they are left infused with a solution of alcohol and water. The concentrate is mixed with pure alcohol, sugar and water to get the necessary percentage of alcohol. It is left in oak barrels for 6-8 weeks to mix well and to add character and maturity, transforming into a golden liquor.
