Winemaking and Aging

El Prohibido is made with the Mencía and Sousón grape varieties. Aging lasts 6 months and occurs in stainless steel tanks. Subsequently, it spends 4 months in French oak barrels. Lastly and once bottled it rests for 6 months before going on the market.

  • Nose: Aromas of red fruits and floral touches.
  • Palate: Silky and sweet with good acidity and a long and persistent finish.


El Prohibido is ideal to accompany red meats and sausages.
