Amancio 2019 is one of the great Rioja wines.

Bodegas Viñedos Sierra Cantabria was born as a result of the Eguren family's continuous desire to improve, in their search for excellence in the world of wine, for new aromas, for new classics in the DO Rioja.

Preparation and aging

Amancio 2019 is a red wine made from Tempranillo grapes. Its production begins with a harvest in which destemming is done manually and rigorous selection grain by grain. Pre-fermentation cold maceration for 7 days. Fermented in 5 hectoliter French oak barrels. Stepped twice a day during the 8 days of fermentation. Maceration with skins for 16 days. Malolactic in new French oak barrels.

Aged for 24 months in French oak Bordeaux barrels ("double barrel"). Racking every 4 months.

Tasting Note of Amancio 2019

• View: Amancio 2019 has a very intense ruby ​​red color at the edges, tending towards a deep cherry red in the center of the glass.
• Nose: Of great complexity and elegance, with notes of scrubland, balsamic, aromatic herbs and great fruitiness (red fruits, cassis) forming a suggestive whole.
• Mouth: It appears very concentrated and tasty, resulting very lively, with marked noble tannins and an elegant fleshy fruitiness that fills the mouth. Powerful, long, persistent, with a very marked personality and great aging potential. In the aftertaste, fruity notes flow perfectly assembled with memories of coffee, toast and high-quality wood.
