Magnum Louis Roederer Collection 242 is composed of the grape varieties Pinot Noir (40%), Chardonnay (40%) and Pinot Meunier (20%). It is an elegant champagne, young and mature, fresh and vinous at the same time.

Made by Louis Roederer, it is one of the last great houses of Champagne and one of the oldest. It was founded in 1776 and from then until today it has been run by the same family.

Preparation and aging

Magnum Louis Roederer Collection 242 is made with 5% wines fermented in oak fouds, 10% reserve wines aged in barrels and with partial malolactic fermentation carried out. The aging takes place for 36 months in rhyme in the cellars. It remains in the bottle for 6 more months, after disgorging, before being marketed.
