Sobre este vino
Corimbo I 2019 stands out for being an excellent vintage in the Ribera del Duero. This jewel comes from very old, vase-grown ink vines from the country, more than 50 years old, in the vineyards of La Horra (Burgos).
The prestigious English magazine Decanter has selected Corimbo I as Platinum Best In Show, the best red wine in the world over 15 pounds made with Spanish varieties.
Preparation and aging
Corimbo I 2019 is made with grapes from the Tinta del País variety. The harvest is carried out manually and the grapes undergo a strict selection process. The production process begins with a maceration of the grapes. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in oak vats while malolactic fermentation takes place in barrels.
Corimbo l is aged for 16 months in French (80%) and American (20%) oak barrels. It is stabilized by natural means and clarified with egg albumen.
Tasting Note of Corimbo I 2019
- View: Corimbo I has a very intense color with a deep layer, with a very dark background and a cherry red rim.
- Nose: Very intense, deep, very elegant, intoxicating. Perfectly assembled wood. Lots of ripe black fruit, along the lines of plum and blackberry. Mineral notes and sweet spices of enormous quality appear, sensations of dark chocolate combined with ripe fruit and the broken stone of the plum.
- Mouth: Very voluminous, feeling of fullness from the moment the wine enters the mouth, ripe and fresh black fruit, mineral, with memories of chocolate. Powerful retronasal route, with refreshing and balsamic notes of aromatic plants in the pine forest. High quality tannin present.
