Cuatro Pasos 2022 is a red wine from the Bierzo DO made by the Martín Códax winery.
Bodega Cuatro Pasos is the project of Bodegas Martín Códax in the Bierzo DO. It produces three single-varietal Mencía wines, Martín Sarmiento, Cuatro Pasos Tinto and Cuatro Pasos Rosado.
Preparation and aging
Cuatro Pasos 2022 is 100% made from the Mencía variety. To make it, the must is first fermented in a stainless steel tank at a controlled temperature.
Once this process is completed, the wine spends a brief aging period (2 months) in French and American oak barrels.

- View: Cuatro Pasos has a cherry red color with violet reflections.
- Nose: Medium-high intensity. Varietal aromas of red fruits predominate with a subtle contribution of toasted wood.
- Mouth: Elegant and balanced on the palate. Very fruity varietal aftertaste.

Cuatro Pasos is ideal to accompany roast or stewed meat, small game, carpaccio, cured meat, pasta, pâtés, scrambled vegetables and sheep cheese.
It is advisable to consume this red wine at a temperature of 18ºC.
