Sobre este vino
Hacienda Monasterio 2023 , made with Tinto Fino, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, seems to us to be an elegant wine, with toasted touches and with fruit and wood very well put together. Great aging potential.
The Winery opened in 1992 in Pesquera de Duero, in one of the most important wine-growing areas of La Ribera.
Preparation and Aging
Hacienda Monasterio 2023 is made from the Tinto Fino variety (the most representative of Ribera), complemented with a small percentage of the Cabernet-Sauvignon and Merlot varieties. The grapes are harvested completely manually and transported to the winery in small plastic boxes. Once in the winery, only the clusters that are in the best conditions are selected. To make Hacienda Monasterio, after complete destemming, the grapes macerate for 24 days. Subsequently, fermentation is carried out only with the natural yeasts of the vineyard itself.
After vinification, Hacienda Monasterio spends 17 months in Allier French oak barrels (30% new barrels and 70% 3-wine barrels) with racking every 3 months.
Hacienda Monasterio Tasting Note 2023
- View: Hacienda Monasterio is a very bright ruby red wine.
- Nose: Nose featuring very mineral aromas and lots of red fruit, with small touches of black licorice and balsamic aromas of eucalyptus. Very aromatic nose and in perfect harmony with the subtle aromas provided by the aging in wood.
- Mouth: The entry into the mouth is soft and silky, giving way to a balanced structure marked by a highly integrated acidity whose presence provides freshness and persistence, with an aftertaste of red fruit and mineral. Very fine, long and elegant mouth.
Balance, finesse, freshness are the great characteristics of this wine with great aging potential.
Pairing
Hacienda Monasterio is ideal to accompany sausages, stews, grilled red meats, small game, cured and roasted cheeses.
Buying Hacienda Monasterio in En Copa de Balón is easy, comfortable, and with the guarantee of obtaining the best wine at the best price and in perfect condition.
