Lafou El Sender 2021

Lafou El Sender 2021 is a wine made with the Garnacha (65%), Syrah (25%) and Mandó (10%) grape varieties.

Bodegas LaFou Celler was founded by Ramón Roqueta Segalés in 2007 to produce quality red and white wines in the Terra Alta Designation of Origin.

Preparation and aging

Lafou El Sender 2021 is a blend of Garnacha, Syrah and Morenillo varieties. The grapes were destemmed and subsequently cold macerated. The must fermented at a controlled temperature and was aged in French (80%) and Central European (20%) oak barrels for 6 months.

• View: Lafou El Sender has a deep, bright garnet cherry color.
• Nose: Its aromas begin with sweet notes of dried fruits (raw hazelnut, dried tomato), quickly opening to notes of undergrowth. Set of great freshness, evolving towards notes of black fruit, plum and olive, giving a solemn base of great depth.
• Mouth: The palate responds to the freshness forecasts proposed on the nose. Finding a lot of liveliness at the start, with acidity that tightens the core of the wine well, giving the balance of freshness and sweetness that characterizes red Grenache. Long finish, where a small point of bitterness gives sensations of dark chocolate, which merge with mineral notes of wet stone.
