Pago de Valtarreña 2020

Pago de Valtarreña 2020 is a red wine from the DO Ribera del Duero made by the Carmelo Rodero winery.

Bodegas Rodero has 120 hectares of its own Tempranillo grape vineyards, with which they make their oak, aging and reserve red wines.

Preparation and aging

Pago de Valtarreña 2020 is made with grapes of the Tinta del pais variety (100%) from the vineyards of the Valtarreña family estate, 45 to 55 years old, with calcareous clay soils and fresh sand. The grapes are harvested by hand in 12 kilo boxes. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks and malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels.

Aged for 24 months in 225-liter French oak barrels with a selected grain and an average age of a year and a half.
