Protos Roble 2024

Protos Roble 2024 is presented to us as an intense and fruity wine, with round tannins and a delicious finish.

Protos comes from Greek and means First, since the winery was inaugurated in 1927, being the pioneer in the Ribera del Duero. They currently control 1,400 hectares, quite a giant.

Preparation and aging

Protos Roble 2024 is a single-varietal Tinta del País wine. The grapes used grow in their own vineyards. The harvest is done manually and the clusters go through a selection process. The grapes are destemmed and cold macerated to achieve the best aromas of the skin. The subsequent fermentation takes place, at a constant and controlled temperature, in stainless steel tanks.

Protos Roble finally ages for 6 months in American oak barrels before resting for another half year in the bottle.
