Quincha Corral 2019 consolidated itself in this vintage as the Bobal from the Spanish southeast best valued by the Peñín Guide.

The Mustiguillo wineries are making history in the Valencian vineyard, rescuing the native Bobal grape for wines of such notable quality as this Quincha Corral.

Preparation and aging

Quincha Corral 2016 comes from 100% of the Bobal variety. Manual vendimina in 15 kg boxes. Cold maceration on vintage boxes at 6ºC. Double selection table (clusters and berries), destemming, slight crushing. Alcoholic fermentation in open 225 liter barrels at 28ºC for 12 days with manual pigeage. Post-fermentation maceration for 10 days.

Aged for 18 months in 225 liter French oak barrels.

Tasting Note of Quincha Corral 2016

  • View: Quincha Corral has a dark cherry red color.
  • Nose: High intensity, notes of black fruit, blackberry and blueberries. Complex touches of scrubland, thyme and burlap, roasted and spiced coffee, cocoa, cloves and blonde tobacco from barrel aging, very subtle and complex.
  • Mouth: Friendly entry, full-bodied, high concentration with high-quality tannins present, filling the mouth with elegance. A well-structured wine, with a lot of volume. The finish is fresh, very long and balanced.

Quincha Corral is ideal to accompany stews, spicy dishes, grilled beef, roasted red meats in their juice and cured cheeses.
