Rum Cacique

Ron Cacique is a rum from Venezuela born in 1959. It was decided to give it that name because in the tradition of the Venezuelan tribes, the Cacique was the one who had the privilege of distributing the rum.

Cacique rum from Venezuela was the market leader last decade but was overtaken by its Dominican competitors by having a sweeter and easier flavor.

Elaboration

Ron Cacique is a blend of several types of rum, distilled three times and aged for two years in white oak barrels. It is the result of the mixture of the best selection of sugar cane and pure spring water, distilled by hand in the microclimate of the jungle. Its distillation process takes place in copper stills and pots.

Cacique is obtained by mixing up to 47 different rums: some younger and others older. The result is a dark rum with an intense tone and a balanced flavor.
