Valderiz 2021

Valderiz 2021 is a red wine , produced by the Valderiz Winery with Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin. It is made from Tinta del País grapes, which generates a medium aromatic red with notes of black fruit, where the toasted touch produced by the barrel in which it ages is very present.

Elaboration

The grapes come from 25-year-old vineyards, whose production capacity is 4,000kg/ha, in which traditional techniques prevail where no type of fertilizer or systematic treatment is used.

Fermentation is spontaneous , only with native yeasts, stainless steel tanks with a capacity of 20,000kg are used. Subsequently, the aging is in French oak barrels (80%) and American oak (20%) for 2 years . In this sense, the Winery has very close control over each barrel to evaluate the wood and the toasted touch that it will bring to the wine.

• View : cherry color with bright reflections.
• Nose : its aromas are of medium power. The black fruit stands out, with a touch of liquor and presence of wood from the barrels.
• Palate : It is a wine with good structure, where the most prominent flavors are black fruit, compote and black pepper. It has balanced acidity and a persistent finish.

The Valderiz Winery is made up of a total of 60 hectares planted by Tomás Esteban and 10 hectares planted by his father, which today he preserves in 35 plots planted in different soils.
