Vega Sicilia Único 2015 is a wine made with the Tinta Fina and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties.
Vega Sicilia's flagship wine is the maximum expression of know-how from the field to the winery, intense, full of nuances and flavor. A wine without which the boom in Ribera del Duero in recent decades would not be understood.
Preparation and Aging
Vega Sicilia Único 2014 is Vega Sicilia 's reference wine, although it shares its special sparkle with the rest of the winery's wines.
It comes from the oldest vines on the property and its composition, in addition to fine red wine, includes more Cabernet Sauvignon than Merlot. Although it is old, the red maintains a liveliness provided by its good acidity compensated by a resounding alcoholic level.
The estate is made up of 1,000 hectares, of which 210 are vineyards. 40 of the hectares are destined for the production of this wine.
The aging of this wine is one of the longest in the world , lasting a minimum of 10 years between wood and bottle. It is produced in French and American wood, in new 225 liter barrels.

- Nose: the toasted touches of the wood prevail in the aroma, with the hazelnut notes of its oxidative evolution during its years in the barrel.
- Palate: It has a breadth of flavors of aged but clean wood, with dry and pleasantly bitter tannins from the oak, along with the slight sweetness of its alcohol. It is a very long wine of taste, with race.
