Lustau Vermouth
Grado Alcohólico: 0.15
Description
Vermouth Lustau is a Red Vermouth produced in the Jerez region (Spain), by the Lustau winery.
It is made from two wines, aged for more than 10 years, Amontillado and Pedro Ximénez. In addition, they add fruits and botanicals that provide a very characteristic aroma of Andalusian vermouth.
Elaboration
The Lustau Vermouth is made based on an Amontillado, dry and with character, and a Pedro Ximénez, sweet and silky.
The aging of Vermouth consists of a successful blend of two wines in the traditional and genuine Solera and Criaderas system. Where both wines have previously been aged for 10 years.

Bodegas Lustau was founded in 1896 by Don José Ruiz-Berdejo . He began cultivating vines on his Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza farm. In his own house he raised the wines that he later sold to large export wineries. In 1931 his daughter, María Ruiz-Berdejo Alberti, acquired a winery in Callejón de Asta, moving the aging of her wines to Jerez.
Currently, Lustau is considered a reference winery at a national and international level. It is identified for producing high quality wines. In recent years, it has been awarded a multitude of international awards, including Best Spanish Winery in 2011 and Best Sherry Winery in 2014 and 2016, awarded in London by the International Wine & Spirit Competition.
It should be noted that it was the first winery in the world to receive the Len Evans trophy for its quality and consistency twice in 2011. In 2016, it received the International Wine Challenge trophy.
The landscape of the area is made up of hills of very white limestone earth, called “albariza”. Its uniqueness is due to the fact that this area was under the sea thousands of years ago.
They grow three types of grapes. Pedro Ximénez stands out for its higher sugar content and a high degree of acidity. Muscat where its aromatic variety is perfect for the production of sweet wines. Finally, Palomino, which is the most traditional and versatile.
