Jameson Whiskey is an Irish whiskey that began to be made in 1780 by master distiller John Jameson.

John Jameson has been characterized since its beginnings by carrying out a triple distillation of grain, something totally new in 1780.

Elaboration

Jameson Whiskey is made through 3 ingredients barley, corn and pure Irish water. It undergoes a process of 3 distillations, just as it was originally done more than 100 years ago.

The barley undergoes 3 malting processes: with soaking, the barley is bathed for several days with Irish water. During germination the barley grows until it has produced the enzymes necessary for its harvest. And finally, the barley is baked and dried with hot, clean air.

This Whisk is distilled in copper stills after fermentation and subsequently aged in 3 different barrels: in sherry butts, bourbon barrels and port pipes.
