Hito 2024

Hito 2024 is a wine made from 100% Tinto Fino grapes. It is the most modern wine from Cepa 21, Emilio Moro's project. It is a friendly, very sweet wine, from a vintage considered extraordinary in the Ribera del Duero.

The Emilio Moro Winery is now in its 3rd family generation, and as José Moro states, remembering his childhood, they have gotten this far based on work, dedication and humility.

Preparation and aging

Hito 2024 is a single-varietal 100% Tinto Fino. The grapes macerate for 18 days and are pumped over. Subsequently, it is aged for eight months in French oak barrels, which gives it a subtle elegance and sets it apart from other young wines in the area, bringing it closer in maturity to wines with a certain aging. The word “MILESTONE” means a stone post, sometimes carved, that is used to indicate the direction or distance on roads or to delimit land.

Hito was born as a young wine to complete the range of a modern and innovative winery. Made with the youngest vineyards of the winery, grafted with Tinto Fino clones from the most emblematic vineyards of Bodegas Emilio Moro.

Hito 2024 Tasting Note

• View: Hito has a covered cherry red color.
• Nose: The nose presents itself as a mature, interesting and complex whole, with black fruits in compote seasoned with contributions of spices and licorice. In the still glass we can distinguish the aromas of coffee and coconut typical of its aging, which give it elegance and finesse.
• Mouth: In the mouth it is friendly and sweet, well balanced and with a warm and persistent aftertaste.

Pairing

Hito is ideal to accompany rice with meat, sausages and legumes.
