Matsu El Recio 2023 is a red wine made with 100% Tinta de Toro grapes and with the Toro Designation of Origin.

Made by the Matsu winery in La Rioja, founded by Raúl Acha with the philosophy of making wines with deep respect for natural processes.


Preparation and aging

Matsu El Recio 2023 is made from the Tinta de Toro variety.

The grapes come from vineyards that are more than 90 years old with very limited production. The harvest is carried out manually during the first days of October.

The fermentation process is carried out in 15,000 kg concrete tanks. Malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak barrels, as does aging in barrels of the same type for 14 months.

It is a wine that has not gone through any filtering process and that has been clarified without using aggressive processes.
