Moscatel Nº1 Selección Especial is a naturally sweet wine with very good character.

The Jorge Ordóñez Winery is located in the municipality of Almáchar, in the heart of the Axarquía of Malaga. It was born with the 2004 harvest and had never been vinified in this area before, since the traditional destination of these grapes was the production of raisins.

Preparation and aging

Moscatel Nº1 Selección Especial is a single-varietal Moscatel de Alejandría grape. The harvest of Special Selection No. 1 beans is carried out late, when the grapes are already overripe. The grains, once in the winery, pass through a selection table.

The Special Selection No. 1 grapes subsequently undergo fermentation in stainless steel tanks, which stops due to a drop in temperature when the desired alcohol level is reached.
