The history of this rum dates back to 1857, when Paul Bardinet (liqueur manufacturer) became interested in sugar cane juice that was exported from islands located in the Caribbean. Negrita Rum is produced in Gelida (Catalonia) with raw materials exported from Venezuela.

• Nose: Its aroma is very marked in its distillation, somewhat sweet.

Consumption recommendation

Rum Negrita is very reminiscent of other Caribbean rums and, apart from combining it with other drinks, such as juices or soft drinks, rum is used in baking to make different desserts. It is also used to drink with certain infusions such as tea, or pennyroyal-mint and coffee. The “carajillos” preparations are made with the latter.
