Señorio de Cuzcurrita 2021 is a red wine made in DO Rioja by Bodegas Castillo de Cuzcurrita.

Bodegas Castillo de Cuzcurrita is located northeast of La Rioja in the highest area of Rioja Alta. It has a modern and current style where barrel aging provides complexity without masking the characteristics of the vintage it comes from, and therefore the terroir of its cultivation.

Preparation and aging

Señorio de Cuzcurrita 2021 is made from 100% Tempranillo grapes from old vineyards with part of the crop from integrated production and the other part organic.

After the manual harvest, passing through the selection table and alcoholic fermentation, the wine passes into fine-grained French oak barrels where it undergoes malolactic fermentation and subsequent aging on its lees for 12 months. It goes through a refining rest in the bottle for a minimum of 24 months before being marketed.
